Although it’s probably impractical for Facebook to enforce this universally there are tons of “Like” pages with horrible titles and thousands - even tens of thousands - of people on them. Their popularity is alone is fairly saddening but the fact that they’re left up on a huge website like Facebook just helps perpetuate the idea that certain forms of sexual assault are for whatever reason “acceptable”, or even “amusing”.

Anonymous asked: you're a real bitch when you answer questions, and it makes me not even want to read what you have to say. people have literally been trained to think in ways that marginalize others, and yeah it sucks, but perhaps try explaining yourself without being such a bitch.

like this post if you, too, are a real bitch at explaining things

Anonymous asked: I know it's considered not okay for a hearing person to pretend to be deaf (and I totally see why). But is it okay for two hearing people to sign in public as long as they're not trying to pass as deaf? I ask because I am hearing and one of my also hearing friends is learning ASL and we like to practice together, and I wanted to make sure we don't do anything offensive. Thanks!
I don’t see how anyone would be upset with that! It’s good that you’re willing to practice in public! many people are too nervous to do so! I would...
